My childhood friend Emile Klein and I reconnected recently and he told me about a portrait project he was doing called “You’re U.S.”  After exchanging a few emails and picking a date, Emile came to stay at the Wesley Manor for the month of November.  During that time he painted this portrait of us.  We did five separate two-hour sessions individually in our basement.  The whole painting took about 60 hours total and now hangs in our living room.
